For proper application of Region Management System
From copy rights protection point of view, it is recommended in
DVD Specification for Read -Only Disc that the players, ( or the
products which provide equivalent functions), which play back
DVD Video Disc, equip Region Management System, furthermore, play
back only One Region Number.
In the event of violation of the recommendation described above,
copy rights holders will fail to protect their Software copy rights.
Due to such violation, copy rights holders are reluctant to release
DVD Software. As a matter of fact, sound development of DVD market
will be damaged due to the absence of DVD Software.
Kindly understand the point of this Region Management of DVD Book,
and design products so that they can comply with Region Management
of DVD Book, and also design DVD Video Players in a manner they
will not be modified easily.
Your kind understanding and cooperation in this matter would be
greatly appreciated in advance.
2. For proper application of DDP 2.0 Specification
Since specification for scrambling on data is not defined in DDP
2.0, data can not be played using DVD-ROM Drive, in case that
the specification is misunderstood.
In the event of formatting Disc using DLT tape which is made by
DDP 2.0, it is recommended that you make inquiry of DCA after
obtaining CSS License, or confirm that the Disc can be played
properly with DVD ROM Drive.

Description
of playback problem of Disc
CallSS command is used in PGC for One_sequential _PCC_ Title,
SPRM7 is referred in system space after CallSS command execution
however, a disc whose PTT that is defined by SPRM 7 and PTT
where CN belongs, and to which playback returns is different.
Phenomena
of playback problems
In the event that playback is transferr ed to system space,
correct playback will not be provided since player changes
SPRM7(PTT) to PTT to which CN belongs, where playback returns.
Value of SPRM7 is correct if playback is moved from system
space to One_sequential_PGC_Title.
Countermeasures
to be taken with disc
eg 1) Let SPRM 7 which is referred in system space equal to
the expected value, by changing CN.
- In the event that CallSS command is used with button command,
and cell command, set CN to Cell number for CallSS command
execution.
eg 2) Prepare other GPRM for judgment in stead of SPRM7. Refer
to GPRM in system space .
- Button command, and cell command can not be used, since
composite instruction command of Set command and Jump command
is not available for them.
- Confirm that defined GPRM value in system space is reset,
since in some cases GPRM value becomes 0.
If GPRM is reset, alter GPRM value to default value.
If it is not reset, refer to its GPRM value.
