DVD FORUM MEMBERSHIP

--What are the qualifications for membership?

Membership in the Forum is open to:

Any organization which is engaged in research, development and/or manufacture of any DVD product.

Any software firm or other users of DVD products that are interested in developing and improving the DVD Format.

--What types of membership are available?

Principal Membership

Principal members are entities deemed to be making a significant contribution to the development, promotion or improvement of the DVD Format

Principal Members are entitled to participate in format-making activities in Working Groups, and to access technical information developed through format-making activities.

Annual fee: 500,000 yen

Associate Membership

Associate membership is open to anyone interested in DVD development.

Associate Members are entitled to access Working Group activity reports which are issued from time to time, and are also permitted to participate in promotional conferences held by the Forum at a significantly discounted participation fee than that charged to non-Forum members.

Annual fee: 150,000 yen

HOW TO JOIN DVD FORUM

Principal membership

1. You are required to read the following documents.

-- WG Participant Rule (amended)
-- Non-Disclosure Agreement (pdf)
-- Undertakings of Working Group Participants (pdf)

2. Download the following documents, fill in/sign them, and send them by courier service or postal mail to:

Note:
1) The last three documents are not necessary if you do not participate in any Working Group.
2) Those who wish to participate in the Working Group 9 only are not required to send "Undertakings of Working Group Participants".
3) For faster application processing, you can send the Application Form by fax first, and then send the other materials by courier service.
4) Be sure to include all addressing information, including fax number and email address.

3. Upon receipt of your application, we will send you an invoice by courier service.

4. The membership fee is payable only on a yen basis (bank transfer).

5. Upon receipt of your payment, we will e-mail you an ID and password for entry to Members Only pages on the DVD Forum web site. Also, your company name will be posted in the Member List page of the web site.

Associate membership

1. Read the DVD Forum Charter.

2. Download the Application Form (pdf), fill it out and fax it to:

Be sure to include all addressing information including fax number and email address.

3. Upon receipt of your application, we will send you an invoice by courier service.

4. The membership fee is payable only on a yen basis (bank transfer).
